Savage filmed a brand new video for "SWING" this week in the Hollywood Hills with Director Kai Crawford. The video has comedic feel througout and features some hella dance performances from some of the best street dancers in LA.
Savage performed alongside hip hop heavyweights The Game, David Banner, Wiz Khalifa, Dolla, Boo Yaa Tribe, YS and a host of other local artists in Salt Lake City last weekend for radio station U92. The show was a sold out event at the Utah Arena and the crowd was crazy excited. Boo Yaa Tribe came on stage with Savage and showed mad love supporting Savage for his entire performance.Video footage of the event will be posted next week
Savage continues his US promo Tour stopping off this week in one of the most influential music markets, ATLANTA (home to T.I, Outkast, Young Jeezy & Ludacris). Hosted by marketing guru REAL from The "R" Group and DJ Infamous from the Apphiliates DJ Crew (DJ DRAMA ) Savage stopped through hotspots like Jermaine Dupri's "Studio 72" the Velevet Room and Magic City.
This past week Savage moved up 2 spots to #30 on the Radio & Records Rhythmic Crossover Chart. Beating out new tracks from Pussycat Dolls, Usher & Ice Cube.
Savage also took out the #1 Phones spot on WJQM MADISON and hit Top 5 phones at KXJM Portland.

Savage continues to make an impact on the sales and radio charts in the US, with his total sales surpassing 200,000 in US. "Swing" was added to another 20 urban stations in the US this week on top of the over 25 crossover stations that are already spinning the record.

Last Thursday was the official launch of Sweet & Irie's debut single "Mama, Don't Cry" at Rising Sun in AK City. That was all the warm-up the crowd needed when the band took the stage the night really began. Sweet & Irie with their multi cultural band impressed with old and new songs and the odd South American reggae tune too. " Beating out new tracks from Ice Cube and Ricky Ross, "Swing" takes pole position as the #1 most added track at the Rhythm Crossover format this week. This is a huge start for the Savage at U.S radio with 30+ stations adding "Swing" to their playlists, including stations in major markets such as Dallas, Las Vegas, Philly, Houston, Salt lake City, San Diego and Sacramento.
To be clear... the Crossover panel includes stations such as Hot 97 in NY and ATL, whereas Power in NY is the urban station. It is not a Top 40 format, although there are top 40 leaning stations on the Crossover panel. "Swing" is set to impact at the urban format next week. "

This is all about to change. The last Deceptikon to go solo is Devolo. He is currently putting the finishing touches on his long awaited, yet to be titled solo album. Devolo has been working hard in the studio for the last couple of months and the results have been outstanding. Production so far has been well handled by new Dawn Raid signing and fellow Horseman, DJ Montana. The first single "Somebody" is a banger strictly for the ladies keep your ears peeled!
Savage and Andy flew out late last Wednesday to LA to spend a week there on a promotional tour and meeting with some of the Boo Yaa Tribe, Big Dave and other US associates.
They flew back to New York recently and received news that "Swing" is starting to impact at radio in a big way especially on the West Coast. "Swing" Featuring Soulja Boy is already #1 most requested at some stations.

Wellington musician, singer & songwriter TJ has signed with Dawn Raid. He is currently working on his Album. TJ has been around the music scene for the past few years performing, recording and winning competitions.
Te Vaka and Scribe have taken double honours at the S3 Pacific Music Awards 2008 in Manukau City on Saturday 31st of May. Te Vaka was honoured with the Radio 531pi Best Pacific Group award and the coveted Tui for the S3 Best Pacific Music Album for ‘Olatia’. To acknowledge the band’s Tui win, Te Vaka will also be honoured at the New Zealand Music Awards in October.
Scribe has taken out the NZ Music Commission Best Pacific Male Artist Award for his second album ‘Rhyme Book’.
Malo Luafutu (a.k.a Scribe) is also a co-winner with Tyra Hammond, Aaron Iusitini and Jordan Iusitini for ‘Say It Again’ which has prevailed in the APRA Best Pacific Song category.

- Cydel took out the award for Niu FM Best Pacific Urban Artist for ‘Soul Finder’
- Three Houses Down picked up the Manukau City Council People’s Choice Award – Best Pacific Artist.

Mareko has been working in the Dawn Raid studio full time since June last year and has been pivotal in the production, as well as heavily featuring on the Brotha D & Horsemen Family albums. Through this time he grown and matured which has helped in producing the soulful masterpiece that is White Sunday 2: The Book Of Mark.
Unlike the OG classic White Sunday this album is a lot more homegrown. Mareko produced most of the album himself with the help of master keysman Heatchild and Nate D & Emile also lending their talented hands.

Savage has been holding fire on the itunes US downloads chart since we last updated you. For the best part of the week "Swing" was at #17 on the US iTunes Hip Hop chart and #56 on the US iTunes (all genres) download chart. "Swing" has jumped 2 spots on the hip hop chart to be now sitting at #15 beating out the likes of Nelly, Lil Wayne, Snoop, Kanye West & Timbaland.

The charity song "Think Twice" by the Aotearoa All-Stars has debuted on the Top 40 chart this week at #12, thanks to all the fans for supporting this great track and to all the artists, film crew, production people and especially DJ Sirvere that had the vision to make this a success. The result is the charity single "Think Twice" ñ released in stores, online, and on mobile today.

Last Saturday 12th January from 11am - 3pm at Takapuna Beach Flava and Youthtown's2008 Summer in the CitySeries kicked off with performances from Nesian Mystik, The Deceptikonz with the Horsemen Family and Brotha D with Sweet & Irie.

Welcome back for the New Year, we’ve got lots of new developments and exciting projects being released in 2008 so stay posted for announcements real soon. Horsemen Family and the Dawn Raid team hit the shopping malls and exclusive spots over Christmas and hand to hand delivered CD samplers of new music from Horsemen Family & Aaradhna, the idea was to give every retail worker putting in the hard hours over Christmas some music to listen to while they’re working away and of course to share with their peeps, we had a crazy response to the campaign and a lot of fun out there meeting with the people, thanks to all those shops that had our music jamming over the Christmas break!!
